A Note from Our Small Team

As a small, rural shelter, our hearts are big, but our hands are few. Our daily priority is the direct care and enrichment of the animals in our shelter. ​

Because we operate with a limited staff, we are unable to provide phone updates or individual callbacks for every application received. Please know that we see and appreciate your interest!

We will reach out directly to the applicants selected for the next steps in the adoption process. Thank you for your patience and for supporting local rescue.

Adoption Fees:

Adoption Fees vary depending upon the animal.

If you have any questions regarding the barnyard animals available for adoption, we can be reached at 937-378-3457 or via email at adopt@bchsohio.org. Our staff and volunteers can answer any questions you have about our animals, and they can help match you with your new best friend!
