FOSTER DOGS

Foster families provide a loving and restful haven while our animals look for their furever home.

Our foster families help save lives by providing a temporary home. As a foster, you free a kennel for another animal in need, provide valuable information to find the perfect family and give an animal a much-needed break. You will also become a vital part of our fight against the euthanasia of adoptable animals. Brown County offers all necessary medication, food and supplies so there is no cost to you! All we need you to offer, is love and compassion.

For our dog shelter, foster families can help with dogs that find the shelter setting too stressful or need to recover from a surgery or treatment. Have extra time to spend with one of our dogs but cannot make a long-term commitment?  Bring a dog home for the weekend or a holiday, spoil the dog, have a great time and bring them back to the shelter.  We learn so much about the dogs and many of our dogs’ true personalities are discovered when they are away from the shelter.

You can submit an application to foster dogs online, or you can download and print the application.
